Review 80, guest-edited by Rubén Gallo, is comprised of articles by scholars and writers Christopher Domínguez, Viviane Mahieux, John Mraz, and Juan Villoro on key figures and iconoclasts in Mexican literature/culture—Heriberto Yépez, Cube Bonifant, the Casasolas brothers, and Roberto Bolaño; and fiction, poetry, and essays by contemporary authors including Humberto Beck, Mónica de la Torre, Valeria Luiselli, Antonio Ortuño, Ignacio Padilla, Martín Solares, and others. The issue also features arts pieces on the Tiempos Violentos exhibition, an essay on the figure of “La Llorona”, and book reviews of recent titles in translation.
